Visiting Family in Minnesota

On the afternoon of June 26th, Danica, Gma Ide, and I rolled into Lester Prairie and saw G-Gma Fogarty and Great Aunt Larry (I mean Kari) :)

We drove to Bumps in Glencoe for some grub and saw some friends of my parents, Steve and Patsy Schauer, at the restaurant. They had their little grandson with them and he really liked Danica, it was cute. After eating we decided to see if Marcia and Kevin Dummer were at home. Marcia is my Dad's cousin. We dropped in and they were home! Here's a pic...

When we were getting ready to go back to Lester Prairie, G-Gma Fogarty got a call from Great Aunt Nancy saying she was waiting outside the house for us so she could meet Dani. When she found out where we were, she said we should just drive to her house and that we should stop by. Dani got to meet Great Aunt Nancy and Great Uncle Tom, as well as her 1st cousins - once removed Mitch & Myles. After visiting for a while, Dani was ready to go. It was a really long day for her.

Saturday was also pretty exciting...we got to meet up with my friend Mary, her husband, Pat, and their twin boys, Jacob and Nathan. They drove from LaCrosse, WI to see us in Lester. The boys were VERY active and gave me some insight as to what I have to look forward to! :) Before we left to meet them, Dani had to eat...lucky thing Great Uncle Sid (Gus) was there!

Here's Nathan! Looks sneaky, doesn't he?

And Jacob!

Now everyone is on the floor playing with Danica.

Trying to take a picture of two Buds and their Budlets...impossible!

Ahhh the Buds!

On Sunday, the big event was a baptism and party for my cousins son, Frederick Anderson in Silver Lake. It was a fun afternoon and there were many family members present. There was one little girl in particular that loved Danica and couldn't seem to get enough...her name is Cadence (Jessica's daughter). Too cute!

On Monday we drove back home, but made a stop along the way at Dave & Myra Johnson's house in Litchfield. Dave and Myra are Danica's Great-Great Aunt and Uncle on my Grandma Ide's side of the family. Their daughter, Bernita came over when she found out we were there and brought her sons, who are also twins. Wow, three sets of twin boys in one weekend!

One more picture with G-Gma Fogarty before we go.

You've Got Mail

Here's some of our newest pics...

Dani is starting to hold her own bottle. This was possibly not her best attempt, but it was the one caught on camera. One hand has it down pat! :)

Trying out the new highchair and I mean new. I picked it up as soon as I saw it was delivered and put it together within 10 minutes and she was eating right away. She looks so small in there!
This is the quilt we bought at church one day. I picked it out for Dani to use, but ummm... we've been using it on our bed lately. I decided to wash it and put it in the extra bedroom so that we don't have it worn out by the time she needs it!

We received an interesting package in the mail today! *snicker snicker* :) I thought I was being pretty cute by sticking her in there, and she was a good sport.

Okay, I've checked all over and I don't see any mail...

Sitting on the deck and out of the sun, but still nice to be outside!

Little chubber fingers.

We Have a Roller!

Just thought I should post this online before it was really late! Danica rolled over from her back to her tummy for the first time this past Monday (6/15) at Grandma and Grandpa Myers' house. I happened to have my camera in the room at the time and all of a sudden, she did it! Grandma Myers was there and got to see the first roll as well. She's done the ones from her belly to her back, but not the other way around...until now. Here's the pics...Go Dani! :)

Yesterday she had her first taste of "real food". I tried a few times giving her rice cereal, but that didn't interest her much and the face she made...! So yesterday I gave her some squash and she seemed a little unsure at first, but by the end she was finding it pretty tasty and ate about half the jar (a little over 1oz). Here's some pics of the event. As you can see she even wipes her own mouth with the bib, so I couldn't even get any pics of her when she was really messy. She's so polite!

The only other news for right now is that Jeff shot a raccoon in our yard at 3AM this morning, so I woke up to some gunfire. Hint: A warning would've been nice dear. Now he is out spraying for weeds in the fields. Gene & Eva are leaving for an extended vacation today. They'll be on an Alaskan cruise with Eva's side of the family. Jeff and I are trying to see if we can make it to MN for a quick visit before our resort vacation. I'm currently at home with Dani doing laundry. I would've liked to catch more z's this AM after the whole raccoon incident ( I couldn't fall back asleep for 2 hours), but she kept waking up in her crib and needed her plug, leg removed from between the bars of the crib, etc. So I just decided to get up. Now she's slept for at least another hour straight through. Oh well. Better luck tonight!

1,000 and still going

Here's Danica doing her barn tricks. She turns around and around in this thing! She must think we put her in backwards all the time.

Using some toys attached to her jumper.

Great Grandma Myers brought over the blanket she made for Danica. It's so nice and I know she'll love using it in years ahead. She made it a very nice adult size so that it can be used for years to come. I used this specific picture because it is Danica's 1,000th picture on our camera. She's very well photographed!

FINALLY Great Auntie Phyllis came to see Danica, June 8 - 10th. Here they are with the Easter Bunny Phyllis brought her. Dani was suppose to get it on Easter when we planned to see Phyllis, but when the time came Phyllis said she didn't want any guests and had us cancel our plans...so Dani had to wait a long time for this bunny. [Insert complaints on this comment from Phyllis] !!!

Sitting around on the couch watching Mommy take picture after picture! :)

Okay, I couldn't help myself, this outfit is just too darn cute! Plus, I had to take a pic of her on the blanket that Grandma Myers made for her. This is her "going out" blanket to lay down on bleachers, grass, etc. It will work out perfect at softball games. It even got used today at her very first tournament in Turtle Lake. She was outside for 6-1/2 hours straight! She did so well, hardly fussed at all, but also didn't take very good naps. She slept less than 1-1/2 hours during the day, she's very tired right now and in her crib for the night.

She was just so smiley!

I couldn't resist taking a picture of her backside. Oh the fun!

Pictures as Promised (just a day late)

The day before Danica turned 4 months old, we picked up this toy for her. Her Baby Einstein jumper and activity center.

4 months old to the day and sitting on the deck with Grandma Myers and Daddy.
