Dani is now able to sit on her own as of July 14th! She had been getting pretty good but needed the occassional helping hand, then all of a sudden that day she just did it all by herself, no help needed!

On the 15th, I checked her height and weight at home and figure she is 28" long and weighs 15.6 pounds.

Last week, don't remember the exact day, either the 22nd or 23rd, Dani's Great Uncle Jim Fogarty stopped by while he and his friend, Tom, were in the area looking for electrical work. Dani woke up just in time to see them off. She took a long nap that afternoon, nearly 2-1/2 hours! It was nice of them to stop by, considering we kinda live off the beaten path!
On the 26th Dani and Mommy left for Wyoming with Gma and Gpa Myers while Daddy stayed home to keep an eye on the farm and get things ready for harvest. We spent the night in Belle Fourche, SD and then drove the rest of the way on the 27th (Dani's 1/2 birthday)! In total the drive is about 10 hours, depending on how many times you stop. It was nice to see Jay, Bridgette, Carli and Colin. We haven't seen them since Danica was born, so it was nice to get together.

Dani has big news for the 28th...she sprouted a tooth! We were calling it a "teefer" just for fun. :) It was actually Dani's cousin Carli who first noticed the tooth. Dani was sucking on Carli's finger and she said "she bit me". I was thinking more of a "gumming", but upon further investigation, she indeed had a teefer!

While we were in Wyoming, Gpa Myers and Jay assembled the playhouse that Gpa made for Carli and Colin. Very cute and the kids love it! During our stay we got a phone call at the house from Joel to tell us that he and Heather were finally engaged. Yay!

We left for home on Thursday and drove the whole way in one day. Dani was such a little trooper for having spent the whole day in a car seat! :) Mommy was very proud!
When we got home, Dani cried at Jeff. I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Evertime she looked at him or he talked to her, she cried. When he finally removed his hat, she was fine. Maybe he should throw out the hat, obviously it must look awful if it makes a babe cry! LOL
That night when we were getting her ready for bed, she seemed a little fussy, so I got out the teething gel to see if that would help. When I was putting it on, there was a second teefer poking out! She now has two teefers, oh my! She's getting so big!
Today, Gma Myers, Dani and Mommy went to Minot to do some shopping. We had kind of a late start and got back around 9ish. We purchased a jogging stroller so that we can use it on gravel and more unstable ground since it has bigger wheels than her regular stroller, which will be nice. I also did quite a bit of work to get ready for Dani's 6 month pictures. We are going to get a few shots of the whole fam, so I had to get something for Jeff and I to wear that would match Dani's outfit.
Well I guess that's all I can think of now, if I've forgotten something, I'll have to fix it tomorrow when I add the pics.
