The next morning we left with trash bags and hand towels in hand and ready to go! We checked in at the Bed and Breakfast around 4PM on the 16th. We stayed at Coyote Blues Village B&B near Hill City, SD. Very pretty place and lots of conveniences. We had wireless internet, breakfast, private hot tub and patio and a spacious room with a lounge! :) Neither of us had ever stayed at a B&B before, but it was a really nice experience and I would do it again!
Here's some pics from our trip.
The B&B.
Pictures from inside our room...the bathroom.
The bedroom area.
Another view of the bedroom area.
View out of our french doors that goes out to the patio.
And the hot tub!
View from the patio. LOVE LOVE LOVE the trees!
The first night we were there we drove into Hill City for supper and ate at the Alpine Inn. For supper they only have one thing on the menu...filet mignon. You can get small or large. It was very yummy. :) We saw these bighorn sheep on the way and stopped to take some pics as they were playing on the side of the rock.
Enjoying that hot tub!
Found some roadside bling in Custer!
The last day we were there, we drove out to the South Dakota badlands. I have to say, they've got NOTHING on North Dakota! No trees, no sage brush, no weeds, no wildlife to be seen and also very grey looking (no color). It was so depressing that I didn't even take a picture. Thank goodness they have the Black Hills which are gorgeous!
We had a really good time on our trip (other than the sick part), but we were both excited to get back home and see our little P-Bear. :)

In defense of the S.D. badlands, we did see quite a few mule deer on top of the buttes on the edges of the grain fields! And I agree that the B&B was very nice.
